The technical assistance will be interrupted
from December 21st to January 8th, in occasion of Christmas holiday.
The assistance will be resumed on January 11th.
As well as the already announced Spanish, Portuguese,
German and Italian versions, French, English and Russian versions
of the Super-Flash system strings for version 3.2 are now also available.
The Spanish and Portuguese versions of the
Super-Flash system strings for version 3.2 have been developed. These
are in addition to the German and, obviously, Italian versions already
available for several weeks.
Version 2.1 of WinCom, the communication analysis
software package, is now available. The significant novelties are
the move to 32 bits and the support of additional multiserial communication
boards.
Version 3.2 Beta of WSF (the Super-Flash development
system for Windows 95 and Windows NT) and WRunfile (the Super-Flash
application executive driver for Windows 95 and Windows NT) are available
on BBS. We are now awaiting user reactions so as to perfect the awaited
definitive version of both products. Contact Automa for further details
on downloading from BBS.
The compatibility between the C168P 8-port
serial board, commercialised by Advantech, and Super-Flash has been
checked. Thus a further possibility of connecting several RS232 ports
to peripherals has been added. For further technical information contact
the assistance service at address assist@automa.it while, for commercial
information, use address staffcom@automa.it.
After a few weeks of running-in, the new Automa site
is published on Internet today. Here is the address for those who
do not know http://www.automa.it . For information, suggestions or
requests about the site write to the address web@automa.it
. In issue 8 of September 1998 Automazione Integrata
(Ed. Tecniche Nuove) points the spotlights on Argo, the Automa software
package dedicated to controlling atmospheric emissions into the atmosphere
from industrial plant (DM 21-12-1995). It is significant that the
article was placed in the "Current Events" column: it is,
in fact, extremely current to be concerned about the environment and,
in this case, it is mandatory seeing that checks by the Authorities
are becoming more frequent. We thank the editor for the articles
completeness and promptness. The translation of the system strings of Super-Flash
3.2 into German has been completed. Thus Runflie.DEU is available:
contact Automa for further information. Automa announces the availability of the new Free
Supervision price list by October. The new version of Super-Flash is available on BBS (035 655150). On BBS access library SF_ITA and unload file SF32.ZIP. The password will be communicated by phone. Included among the main features of version 3.2 are: native support
for preparing multi-language applications, facilitations for touch-screen
applications, 32K and 64K colour support, True-Type font support (first
version), access and handling functions for alarms and recipes from
MicroC.
The Automa technicians have tested the data communication
kit via GSM of the Nokia 61/10 cellular in the Windows 95 environment
with a Super-Flash WRunfile application. Dial, the MicroC dedicated
to telephone communication, has been adapted for this particular type
of modem. Further information is available by contacting the Automa
telephone assistance service. The translation and printing of the Super-Flash 3.0
manuals in Spanish has been completed. Thus the complete development
system in available in Spanish alongside the Italian and English versions.
Contact Automa for information about Super-Flash sales on foreign
markets. Automa, following the analysis of the Free Supervision
products, has issued a "statement of compatibility with the year
2000" of version 3.2 of Super-Flash. This statement may be delivered
to the end user of an application as a further guarantee of the absence
of any software problems connected with the passage of the millennium.
Automa must be contacted to obtain a copy of the statement. With the return from holidays of some of our technicians,
the telephone assistance service restarted this morning. Here is a
reminder of the times. From Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 noon
and from 3 pm to 6 pm for all companies that have stipulated a telephone
assistance contract; Tuesday and Thursday from 3 pm to 5.30 pm for
all customers. Futuria Informatica is a company specialising in application
solutions for the industrial world such as: production management
systems, factory and department information systems, finite capacity
scheduling procedures, works order tracing procedures, production
progress management and control procedures. Automa and Futuria have
recently reached an agreement to collaborate to investigate the technical
possibilities of integration between supervision and "real-time"
applications and "company management" ones. Tiesse Informatica, an experienced Solution Provider,
has developed EVENTI 1.0, a MicroC program for creating log files
for recording events. Configurability and transparency with respect
to the application are among some of the merits of this MicroC program
that can manage up to 128 events. For further information contact
Automa, which distributed EVENTI 1.0 with the NO ROYALTY formula. Automa announces the availability of TRENDOUT v. 1.0:
this MicroC program can read, process and export the data produced
by Super-Flash automatic Trend management. TRENDOUT can also be used
by those users who do not possess MicroC. The C source code is also
provided: thus MicroC owners can modify it to adapt it to their own
requirements. TRENDOUT is distributed with the consolidated NO ROYALTY
formula. The price is still to be defined and will be communicated
in the next Automa News. Applicom International has presented the new communication
Server PCI2000IBS: it has an InterBus-S port and a serial port. With
the microprocessor on board, Applicom servers free resources for applications,
which perform better and are more open. Super-Flash is already provided
with the necessary driver, both for the Windows environment and for
the DOS environment extended to 32 bits. As already announced, telephone assistance is taking
a holiday and will restart its regular service from Monday August
24. All the commercial services will active and available through
August. We wish everyone a happy holiday. Version 1.1 of ARGO, the software for controlling
emissions from industrial plants conforming with the DM of the 21-12-1995
has been issued. Among the important modifications we highlight the
implementation of the protocol with ADAM5000 and the implementation
of certain gas conversion formulae. Implementation of the new Automa web site started
today. It will be implemented using Microsoft FrontPage 98.
Publication is planned for the end of September. The Beta version of Super-Flash 3.2 is available on
BBS. The development and testing period of the pre-release of ARGO, the new Automa software package for emission control conforming with the DM of the 21-12-1995, has concluded. Version 1.0 is therefore available.
