A new version of Driver Real is available: this version makes it possible to operate directly on block variables. N° 002 of the 09-02-2000 Protection boards and the Intel 810 Chipset

Communications continue to be received relative to the failure of the protection boards fitted to certain Personal Computers to function. To date the problem has been encountered on Compaq DeskPro, HP Brio and IBM 300GL PCs but, unfortunately, the list is likely to increase! These PCs, in fact, are fitted with the Intel 810 Chipset (an economy class component generally combined with Celeron microprocessors) this chipset is the most probable cause of some interference on the parallel ports which does not allow certain peripherals to operate, which also include our protection boards (source: Eutron). Should you have encountered the problem too, check whether this component is present inside the PC before contacting the AUTOMA assistance service. There is a simple way of doing this: run program TESTVESA, supplied with the Super-Flash package, from MS-DOS. If the message "Intel 810 (TM) Graphics Chip Accelerated VGA Bios" appears it means that your PC, too, is not compatible with the standard prescriptions considered valid up to now. If, however, the problem occurs with chipset versions other than the one indicated, please signal this in detail using box assist@automa.it. The manufacturer of the protections distributed by AUTOMA has already released a new version of the board that fully supports the incompatibility of the Intel 810 Chipset.

N° 001 of the 28-01-2000 Applicom boards for the PCI Bus

The Applicom boards to be fitted to the PCI Bus are also available to Super-Flash users. This opportunity adapts best to the technical characteristics of the new Personal Computers, which tend to prefer the PCI configuration rather than the standard ISA. The only important warning, that users must comply with, is that the board can only be used in Windows environments (95, 98, NT), so Super-Flash applications must all be provided with the WRunfile driver. When ordering, those interested in the new Applicom board must explicitly mention that PCI is installed, considering that the default is ISA. There is no price change for the new boards with respect to those quoted in the past.
