No. 016 of 12-02-2002 Telephone support line on holiday

Automa's telephone support line will be suspended for the Christmas period from Monday, December 23, 2002 to Monday, January 6, 2003.
The service will resume on Tuesday, January 7, 2003, assisting Super-Flash users every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm to 5.30 pm.
Companies with support contracts can call everyday from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12 pm and from 3pm to 6 pm.

No. 015 of 11-04-2002 Introduction to Super-Flash 3.6

Automa will be presenting Super-Flash 3.6, the new development software version for industrial supervision, at Enel. Hydro's "Punto Immagine" in Seriate (Bergamo) on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 from 9am to 1pm.
This event gives anyone interested the chance to start using and understanding Automa's product. It is free to register and all participants will be given a CD with the new version of Super-Flash Runtime, the free development system.
The presentation is organized for anyone (managers or operators) working in this field.

No. 014 of 10-20-2002 New MicroC 2.0 manual

MicroC 2.0, the "ingenious" C compiler which boosts Super-Flash's potential, is now even more complete with a new manual that can be downloaded from Automa's website at download. This PDF manual is much more user-friendly, with its hypertext links that simplify and speed up consultation.
On each page for example, all references to functions are highlighted and linked directly to an analytical description in the "Runtime Library" section. This makes it quick and easy to search for the numerous MicroC 2.0 functions. Hypertext links are also used for the table of contents on the left-hand side of the screen: just click on a section title to view the page instantly.
This new manual describes all 508 functions, which allow you to use MicroC 2.0 in the best possible way.
The language is now quicker and easier to learn, while the Super-Flash applications are easier and more efficient.

Automa presents Super-Flash 3.6, the new Windows version of the successful development system for industrial supervision applications.
Super-Flash 3.6 continues to be highly reliable and efficient, while simplifying and speeding up application development.
This software is multi-platform, so its applications can easily run on different operating systems.
The brand-new graphic editor rapidly creates pages using typical Windows functions. Super-Flash Runtime 3.6 can be downloaded from http://www.automa.it/freedownload/pages/freedown.html for free, so you can start using it without having to make investments. You can buy hardware keys later to run the applications, depending on their size. You can also run Super-Flash Runtime 3.6 on several workstations at the same time for free, equipping each plant with a development system.
All the updates are free from the website and the new version is fully compatible with applications generated by earlier versions.

No. 011 of 07-18-2002 Super-Flash 3.3

Automa presents Super-Flash 3.3 Its main feature is the Windows interface development system. The multi-platform system can generate applications for Windows, DOS and (soon) Linux.
The best news is that Runtime development system is now free. The Royalty-Free and Runtime versions include a series of products marketed separately, such as WSF, WRunfile, Runfile.int, Dial+TSF, DBF, Real, Trendout and communication Driver MicroC.
The Royalty-Free version also includes Protect and Super-Flash OPC Client.

Automa is organizing group training courses for the release of MicroC 2.0.
The first course will be divided into two sessions and will be focusing on the update from version 1.6 to version 2.0.

The dates are as follows:

A second course is organized for anyone without programming skills who wishes to learn the basics of language C. The course will be held on the following three days:

Automa presents SFW 3.3 Candidate 6, the Super-Flash development system with Windows interface.
This version generates applications that are compatible with Super-Flash 3.2, allowing the developer to use either the DOS or Windows development system. Continuing Super-Flash's tradition, this Windows development system is perfectly compatible with earlier versions, allowing you to handle applications developed with earlier development systems than 3.2.
With SFW, you can generate applications developed for a DOS (Runfile) PC or a Windows (WRunfile) PC.

Automa and Right Systems announce an important agreement that officially confirms Maintex, the programmed maintenance software, as an Automa product.
Mario Borali, Automa's Managing Director, comments: "we have been working a lot on maintenance software.

Vipa and Automa will be together at the Bologna fair to offer an innovative and exciting HMI solution to automation, based on Vipa's ultra-compact industrial PC288L and Automa's Super-Flash supervisor. The MCS (Motion Control & Factory Automation) show will be held in Bologna on February 20th , 21st and 22nd 2002. You can see the Vipa and Automa solution at stand B39 in pavilion 19.

Automa presented Super-Flash users with its new "Supervisione Libera" products at Enel.Hydro's "Punto Immagine" in Seriate on January 23rd. As a follow-up to other similar initiatives, this event welcomed a huge turnout of technicians interested in these new products: with up to a hundred participants, it focused on SFW, the new Windows Super-Flash development software.
A stream of announcements made the presentation even more exciting: Super-Flash 3.3; MicroC 2.0; OPC Client 1.0; SMS; M-Box; Dolphin.
The event ended with a lively discussion, demonstrating a keen interest among developers in the new solutions.
