SIEETH - Industrial Ethernet
SIEETH is a DLL driver allowing an application developed with Visual C or Visual Basic to interface with Siemens and VIPA PLCs through Industrial Ethernet protocol.

This new driver has been developed by Automa with the aim of providing a low-cost solution for Ethernet connection.
Advantages of SIEETH
Effective
An application is able to communicate with Siemens PLCs by means of a software driver through a standard PC Ethernet board.
Economical
It is possible to purchase Runtime licences, a licence can be used for a single application.
The product is available in two sizes: SMART to communicate with a single PLC and FULL to communicate with more than one PLCs.

Description
SIEETH is a DLL driver allowing an application to manage communication with SIEMENS and VIPA PLCs through Industrial Ethernet protocol.
Characteristics
SIEETH manages:
  1. communication with up 100 PLCs
  2. retries on single equipment in case of communication error
  3. inactivity time on single equipment in case of communication error
  4. minimum time between communication sessions on single equipment
  5. reading operation of Input resources (8, 16, 32 bit) in single or array mode
  6. reading/writing operation of Output resources (8, 16, 32 bit) in single or array mode
  7. reading/writing operation of Merker Integer resources (8, 16, 32 bit) in single or array mode
  8. reading/writing operation of Floating Point (32 bit floating point) Merker in single or array mode
  9. reading/writing operation of DataBlock Integer resources (8, 16, 32 bit) in single or array mode
  10. reading/writing operation of DataBlock Floating Point resources (32 bit floating point) in single or array mode
Limits
  1. Timer resources are not supported
  2. Counter resources are not supported
  3. Maximum number of PLC directly connected on Ethernet TCP/IP is 100
Minimum requirements
  1. Windows 9X, NT4, 2000/XP Operative System
  2. Development environment compatible with Microsoft Visual C/C++ 6, Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Visual Basic 2008
