SFBERPVI is aDLL driver that allows a Super-Flash application to manage communication with B&R automation devices via PVI (Process Visualization Interface).
The DLL driver is placed in the group of PVICOM Applications, directly interfaced with the PVICOM Interface.
In order to configure and use the driver correctly, an in-depth knowledge of the B&R PVI environment is necessary: in the manual, in all the points where the driver interfaces with PVI, reference is made to the B&R manual for implementation details.
The advantages of SFBERPVI
Effective |
The use of the SFBERPVI driver is one of the most effective solutions on the market. The driver connects, as a PVIcom application, to the PVI software that virtualizes the network of B&R devices.. |
Economical |
It is possible to purchase the driver in Runtime version; the license can be used for a single application. |
Technical card of SFBERPVI 1.1 SP1
Description |
SFBERPVI is a DLL driver that allows a Super-Flash application to manage communication with B&R automation devices via PVI (Process Visualization Interface). |
Characteristics |
SFBERPVI allows to manage:
-
communication with muliple PLCs
-
retries on the single channel in case of communication error
-
inactivity time on the single channel in case of communication error
-
read/write of boolean (1 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
-
read/write of u8 (8 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
-
read/write of i16 (16 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
-
read/write of i32 (32 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
-
read/write of f32 (32 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
-
read/write o fstring type resorces in single mode

Limits |
SFBERPVI has the following limits:
-
i64 type is not managed
-
u16 type is not managed
-
u32 type is not managed
-
u64 type is not managed
-
f64 type is not managed
-
string type in array mode is not managed
-
wstring type is not managed
-
struct type is not managed
-
time type is not managed
-
dt type is not managed
-
date type is not managed
-
tod type is not managed
-
data type is not managed
-
If used in a Super-Flash application version 4.1 or earlier, the maximum length of a PVI variable is 12 characters
-
arrays can be managed only starting from element 0, for a number of elements less than or equal to the size of the array on the PLC
-
for arrays it is possible to extract from the block only elements of the exact size of the object (for example, it is not possible to extract from an array of i16 only one byte, but only the single word)
-
for arrays, in case of management of number of elements less than the array size, it will not be possible to write the whole variable, but only the single extracted elements
-
for the string type, the size of the variable in Super-Flash must be less than or equal to the size of the string variable of the PLC (VL=) minus one (terminator character))
