SFABXETH
SFABXETHSFABXETH is a DLL driver which allows a Super-Flash application to communicate with Allen-Bradley controllers (Logix5000™ e SLC™ 500) via Ethernet/IP™.

The driver uses Ethernet/IP technology, the use of which is covered by the license granted to Automa by the Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA).

Using the SFABXETH driver is one of the most flexible solutions on the market and allows you to communicate with Allen-Bradley controllers (Logix5000T and SLCT 500) by interfacing the driver through a PC Ethernet card.
Economical
It is possible to purchase the driver in Runtime version; the license can be used for a single application.

Description
The SFABXETH driver allows a Super-Flash application to manage the Ethernet/IP™ (Ethernet/IP™ = CIP™ over Ethernet) communication with:
  • Allen-Bradley Logix5000™ controllers, via native CIP™ messaging for access to Tags
  • Allen-Bradley SLC™ 500 controllers, via PCCC messaging
Characteristics
The features of SFABXETH are:

General:
  1. communication with up to 100 Allen-Bradley controllers (Logix5000 e SLC500)
  2. connection in "Direct Network Device" mode (connection to the controller via direct access to the Ethernet port of the controller itself)
  3. connection in "CLX via backplane" mode (connection to the controller via a Ethernet communication module inserted in the backplane)
  4. retries on the single channel in case of communication error
  5. inactivity time on the single channel in case of communication error
Communication with Logix5000 controllers:
  1. read/write of BOOL (1 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
  2. read/write of SINT (8 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
  3. read/write of INT (16 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
  4. read/write of DINT (32 bit) type resorces in single or array mode
  5. read/write of REAL (32 bit floating point) type resorces in single or array mode
Communication with SLC™ 500 controllers:
  1. read/write of N file resources (16 bit)
  2. read/write of N file resources (32 bit)
  3. read/write of F file resources (32 bit floating point)
Limits
  1. The maximum number of Allen-Bradley controllers (Logix5000™ e SLC™ 500) you can connect to is 100
  2. Connection in "bridging" mode is not managed (connection to the controller via access to another controller with bridge function)
  3. If used in a Super-Flash application version 4.1 or earlier, the maximum length of the resource identifier (TagName) is 12 characters
  4. It does not support access to structure fields (for Logix5000™)
  5. It does not support Ethernet/IP™ communication with PLC5™ controllers
